Welcome To Holy Apostles

To unite all in Christ through Word, Sacrament, and Service to Parish and Community. We are an ecumenical community chartered and supported by the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Take some time to learn how Holy Apostles came into being following an after dinner conversation between Bishop Walter F. Sullivan of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond and his friend, Bishop David S. Rose of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia in 1977.

About Us

We are an intimate and close knit family who welcome like minded individuals to join us. While we pursue our unique ministry of ecumenism, we are ever-mindful, and observant of our respective traditions. Due to current constraints, we hold two services weekly with most families attending both. There is a nursery and Children's Liturgy to cater to younger members. We are grateful for the richness of our respective faith traditions and welcome Christians of all denominations to celebrate in Christ with us.

News & Happenings

In preparation for our upcoming 40th Anniversary in November, we are updating our photo album; please contact the office to have your picture in the album. $40 for the 40 Anniversary For members who have been around since Holy Apostles celebrated its 25th anniversary, you may remember the fundraiser $25 for the 25th. With our upcoming anniversary, which we will celebrate on Sunday, November 5th, it is suggested we consider giving $40 for the 40th to help offset costs. Donations can be made in any increment of $40 ($80, $120, etc.) We hope you will prayerfully consider this fundraiser. Patty Salisbury is creating the invitation list for our Anniversary celebration.*** Please give Patty the names and current addresses of any prior members or friends that you would like to invite to our celebration which will be at 2 p.m. with Vespers at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Your ideas are welcome. Please contact the co-chairs Lynne Graham and Patty Salisbury or any member of the committee: Ann Delaney, Hank Foiles, Holly Frey, Anne Martin or Marty Rucker.
